Cloud IoT Edge is the software that extends Google Cloud’s powerful data processing and machine learning capabilities to gateways, cameras, and end devices, making IoT applications smarter, more secure, and more reliable. It lets you execute ML models trained in Google Cloud on the Edge TPU or GPU- and CPU-based accelerators.

In this session, let’s walk through how to train high-quality machine learning models using Google’s AutoML, transfer learning, and execute machine learning models in IoT Edge devices. The demo includes the real use case data trained and running the inference using Google’s Coral USB Accelerator and Raspberry Pi 4 with the comparison of inference time between CPU/GPU and Edge devices and discussion of cases how machine learning at the edge benefits businesses.

Bio: Siva Kumar is a software architect working in Computer Enterprises Inc., helping teams architect mobile, cloud and IoT solutions. He is very interested in exploring new technologies. He loves community-related work where he can talk with others to share and learn from them. He tweets about the things he is working on @ksivamuthu. He lives in Orlando with his loving wife, and they are devoted parents to their beautiful daughter.

Firebase Virtual Meetup will bring together Firebasers and groups of developers in intimate online settings. Come join us and your fellow GDG Central Florida members as we present on Firebase products. This is a great opportunity to ask hard questions in a small group setting, and provide product feedback.

Once you have registered, you can expect to receive an email from the Firebase team to confirm your attendance.
