DevFest is a worldwide Google event focused on empowering local communities with the latest opensource developer tools. DevFest Florida enables the various tech centers of our state to connect, network, and share insight unique to local Florida startups and businesses. We hope to continue this annual tradition with emerging technologies such as TensorFlow/ML, Mobile, Cloud Technology, Angular, Web, AR/VR, and much more! In addition to bleeding-edge technology, our startup track will explore ways to grow your culture, design-thinking, and maximize market potential.

Given these challenging times of COVID, our DevFest Florida community desires to intentionally shine a light in our tech sector. We plan to highlight innovators, thought leaders, makers, startups, and research that create growth and opportunity for our local communities and state. To keep everyone safe, we plan to execute the conference in a virtual format.

For DevFest Florida 2020, we want to create opportunities for innovative students, entrepreneurs, and researchers to share insights from their efforts. Speaking at a local developer conference will help you grow your personal brand, learn technology in a deeper way, and connect with prospective employers or customers. Please let us know if you’d be interested in presenting your startup, project, or research during our startup and research poster session.

Submit Talk Proposal

This year we will have 45-minute sessions and rounds of lightning talks. Lightning talks are groups of short (~10-minutes) presentations. These are great for sharing information about a local tech community, giving a teaser about a longer presentation later in the schedule, and for new speakers looking to get their feet wet. If you’re a speaker interested in holding a hands-on 90-minute workshop, we’re excited to hear your proposal. We’re also excited to accept proposals for our startup/projects/research poster session. (90 minutes)

Looking forward to connecting with you!! Have a great day!
